Pyebaek, answered
What is a pyebaek ceremony?
Pyebaek is the traditional Korean wedding ceremony held with the couple's families: the couple, in ceremonial dress, offers deep bows and receives blessings — with dates and chestnuts tossed for good fortune. Each gesture has a meaning, and we explain every one as part of the service.
Do we need to know the traditions beforehand?
No — guidance is the heart of our service. We walk both families through the ceremony step by step, so it feels meaningful even if it's your first one.
What's the difference between the prop-set rental and the on-site service?
The prop-set rental ($1,000) gives you the complete ceremony set to pick up, arrange, and return yourselves. The on-site service (from $2,000, by distance and time) means we bring everything, set the ceremony, and guide it in person.
Is the hanbok included?
The hanbok worn under the pyebaek attire is not included in either option — it can be rented separately from our rental collection.
